There's nothing like snow on the Bernias. We got up one morning earlier this month and saw more white on the inland mountains viewed from our terrace than ever before in our 15 years here. It really is there if you look carefully! Then came a storm of continuous rain and strong winds overnight. What we saw the next day at the coast was the result of heavy seas. In this photo the Javea Arenal beach is littered with what looked like tangled electric cable. It was seaweed, of course.
At Javea port there was a surprise.
The pebbles had been mostly removed by the high seas. Just a few were left in a heap below the steps.
To be fair it has also been possible to lunch outside in the sun on several days - as is usual in December.
